Gates Open WA gives out two grants twice per year: our general arts grant and our comedy-specific grant. We distribute a Winter grant, announced by February 1st of each year, and a Spring grant, announced by August 1st of each year. We have ambitious goals to expand and provide more grants, enabling more artists to create exceptional art in Washington state.

Our first selection for our Winter 2025 Grants, we have awarded one community award and one newcomer award to two outstanding artists! These talented individuals impressed our selection committee so much that they wanted to encourage them with a small grant to keep their creative journeys alive!
